About
Jose Salazar. His path
I am Jose Salazar. I have been a dedicated practitioner of yoga for ten years and a teacher for the last five. For the past three years I have also taught in corporate environments where inclusivity and wellbeing are treated as essential pillars of healthy culture.
I am certified by Satya Ashtanga Yoga with a five hundred hour Ashtanga Yoga focus and as a Meditation Teacher. I have completed Sama Ashtanga teacher training led by Chuck Miller and Primary and Intermediate Series training with Matias Flury.
Yoga transformed my path. For a long time I only gave weight to what was tangible and quantifiable: results, metrics, external achievement, focused on what my engineering formation taught me. Through consistent practice I slowly learned the profound importance of feeling my own feelings, of listening to the quieter signals of the body and heart, and of living more aligned with those intrinsic needs. These practices of introspection became essential to my development as a human being. Today they walk hand in hand with my professional and personal growth. They shape how I teach individuals at home and how I design sessions for teams inside organizations.
My teaching is rooted in the traditional Ashtanga Vinyasa method while remaining intelligent, respectful and adaptable. I offer two clear products. Private in home sessions for individuals and corporate classes focused on presence, resilience and collective wellbeing. I teach in English and Spanish.

Ashtanga Yoga
The eight limbs
Ashtanga Yoga is the classical eight limbed path described by the sage Patanjali in the Yoga Sutras. It is far more than a sequence of postures. It is a complete practical system for living with greater clarity, steadiness and freedom. The physical practice is only one part. The full path addresses how we relate to others, how we care for ourselves, how we work with breath and energy, how we manage the senses and how we train the mind toward deeper presence and integration. This broader understanding informs every class I offer, whether for an individual at home or for a team in a corporate setting.
Yama
Ethical restraints. How we treat others
The five yamas are Ahimsa, non violence in thought, word and action. Satya, truthfulness. Asteya, non stealing. Brahmacharya, wise use of energy. And Aparigraha, non possessiveness. They form the foundation of relationships that do not create unnecessary harm.
Niyama
Personal observances. How we treat ourselves
Saucha, purity of body and mind. Santosha, contentment. Tapas, disciplined effort that generates inner heat. Svadhyaya, self study and study of meaningful texts. Ishvara Pranidhana, surrender to something greater than the individual ego.
Asana
Steady and comfortable posture
The physical postures prepare the body to remain steady, cultivate strength, flexibility and balance, and develop the capacity to stay present with sensation without reactivity. In both individual and group settings asana becomes a laboratory for awareness.
Pranayama
Regulation of the breath and life force
Conscious work with the breath expands vital energy, calms the nervous system and begins to steady the fluctuations of the mind. It is especially valuable in high pace corporate environments.
Pratyahara
Withdrawal of the senses
The practice of drawing the senses inward so attention is no longer constantly pulled by external stimuli. This creates the conditions for real concentration and reduces reactivity.
Dharana
Concentration
The ability to hold the mind steadily on a single point of focus: breath, mantra, sensation or an internal object. This skill transfers directly into clearer decision making and presence at work and at home.
Dhyana
Meditation
When concentration becomes continuous and effortless, a steady flow of attention without interruption. The mind rests in the chosen object.
Samadhi
Absorption and integration
The state in which the sense of separation between observer and observed softens. It is the natural culmination of the path and the doorway to deeper freedom and clarity.
